The Capital City Polka Dancers Association is a non-profit social organization dedicated to the promotion and tradition of polka dancing in Pennsylvania. Dances are held monthly except for the summer with live band music. While polka dancing is prominent, members and guests enjoy mixing in a little foxtrot, waltz, cha cha, rumba as well as a variety of ethnic dances.
The club holds dance lessons in polka usually at least once a year. Don't let that stop you, though, if you want to come and try it out. Our members are enthusiastic and will be happy to show you the basic steps to get started and have fun.
Polka music is upbeat and you can't help but feel the mood and lifted spirits when it is played. Most of the bands have played polka for years and often add an ethnic spirit whether it is Polish, German or other.
